Privacy Policy

Topl, Inc. is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how Topl, Inc. and its affiliates (“Topl”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collect, use, and share information in connection with your use of our websites (www.topl.co and topl.services) and services, applications, or products (collectively, the “Services”).

We recommend that you read this Privacy Policy in full to ensure that you are fully informed about our practices. If you have any questions, please contact us at legal@topl.me. This Privacy Policy supplements the other agreements and terms put forth by Topl and is not intended to override them.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly

Account Information. When you register for an Account through one or more of our Services, we may ask for your contact information, including your name, company name, address, email address, and telephone number. If you choose to refer a friend to our Services, we may also collect your friend’s email address so that we may send them a referral or promotional code to sign up for our Services.

Payment Information. When you add your financial account information to your Account, we may pass that information to our third-party payment processor in order to process your payment. Additionally, we may retain this information to comply with reporting requirements.

Submitted Content. We maintain certain feedback channels that allow you to publicly post information regarding our Services. By posting through such channels, you agree that certain, non-sensitive, aspects of your account information and the content you post may be viewed and used by other users and third parties we do not control.

Communications with us. If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide. We may also receive a confirmation when you open an email from us.

Information collected through using the Services

Usage and device information. In order to improve our Services and protect our users, we collect information related to how you use the Services, including what pages you may view and how you navigate applications or websites. Additionally, we may collect information about the devices you use to access the Services. This includes things like IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use, and the web page you visited before coming to our sites. Your devices (depending on their settings) may also transmit location information to the Services. For example, we use device information to detect abuse and identify and troubleshoot bugs.

Use of cookies and other tracking tools. We also use cookies, tracking pixels, and similar technologies to gather information regarding the date and time of your visits to our sites and use of our Services. Like most technology companies, we automatically gather this information and store it in log files each time you visit our website or access your account on our network. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a web site. We may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our website. Why we collect your information

Collecting and analyzing certain information you provide is essential for us to provide the best possible experience for you. We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

  • Understand and analyze how you use our Services;

  • Communicate with you to provide customer service and updates, as well as for marketing purposes; and

  • For compliance purposes and to prevent fraud.

How we share information

We may share information as discussed below, but we won’t sell it to advertisers or other third parties.

With those working for and with Topl. In addition to Topl employees, certain third-party vendors and service providers that provide services on our behalf may be given access to your information. These third parties will be authorized to access your information solely to perform tasks on our behalf.

With other users. Our Services may display information like your name, organization name, email address, and activity to other users with whom you collaborate. If you sign up for our Services through a referral or invitation, we may share information with your referrer to let them know that you used their referral to sign up for our Services.

For public interest. We may disclose your information if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or appropriate government request; (b) enforce this Privacy Policy and any other agreements or terms we may have, including investigation of potential violations hereof; (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues; (d) protect our rights, property, safety, or interest; or (e) perform a task carried out in the public interest.

If requested by you. If you request or consent for your information to be shared or disclosed, Topl may do so.

Securing and Retaining your information

Security. Topl is committed to protecting your information. To achieve this, we employ a variety of security technologies and measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no services or information, whether provided by Topl or anyone else can ever be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Retention. We retain information collected from you for as long as we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so. This means that even after you cease use of our Services, we may retain portions of your information for a limited time in order to comply with our reporting or compliance requirements. As soon as is reasonably possible, we will either delete or anonymize your information.

Your rights to your data

Topl believes in providing our users with control over their data.

  • If you wish to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal information, you can do so at any time by emailing legal@topl.me.

  • If you wish to object to any processing of your information or to ask us to restrict such processing, you may again email us.

  • You have the right to opt-out of marketing communications we send you at any time. You can exercise this right by clicking on the “unsubscribe” or “opt-out” link in the marketing emails we send you. To opt-out of other forms of marketing, please contact us by emailing legal@topl.me.

  • You have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal information. For more information, please contact your local data protection authority.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes to this Privacy Policy that affect your rights at least 30 days prior to the change taking effect by posting a notice on our website or by contacting you.
